How to operate module 3517

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and date

  1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold A until the seconds flash.
  2. Press C to step through the settings: seconds, hour, minute, 12/24-hour format, year, month, day.
  3. On the seconds, press D to reset them to 00.
  4. On the other settings, press D to go up and B to go down (hold for fast).
  5. On the 12/24-hour format, press B or D to switch.
  6. Press A to go back to the Timekeeping Mode.

Good to know

Resetting the seconds between 30 and 59 adds one minute.

In 12-hour format the P indicator marks p.m. times; the year runs from 2000 to 2099.

Set an alarm

  1. Press C three times to reach the Alarm Mode (after the Timer and Stopwatch Modes).
  2. Hold A until the hour flashes; this also switches the daily alarm on.
  3. Press D to go up or B to go down, and C to switch between hour and minute.
  4. Press A to go back to the Alarm Mode.

Good to know

In the Alarm Mode, each press of B steps through: both off, daily alarm only, hourly signal only, both on.

Hold B in the Alarm Mode to test the sound; this also changes the on/off setting. The alarm sounds for 20 seconds.

Light

  1. Leave any setting first: the light does not work while digits flash.
  2. Press L in any mode to light the display.
  3. Use it sparingly: frequent use runs down the battery.

Stopwatch

  1. Press C twice to reach the Stopwatch Mode.
  2. Press D to start, D to stop, and D again to carry on.
  3. When it is stopped, press B to reset it.
  4. For a split time, press B while it runs; press B again to let the display catch up.

Good to know

It counts up to 23 hours 59 minutes 59.99 seconds.

With the display at all zeros, press B to turn Auto-Start on or off (a 5-second countdown before timing starts).

Countdown timer

  1. Press C once to reach the Timer Mode.
  2. Hold A until the hours flash.
  3. Press C to step through hours, minutes and seconds, and D to go up or B to go down.
  4. Press A twice to go back to the Timer Mode.
  5. Press D to start, D to stop, and D again to carry on; when it is stopped, press B to reset it.

Good to know

It runs from 1 second to 24 hours; set 0:00'00" for 24 hours.

An alarm sounds for 10 seconds at zero; press any button to stop it.
