Casio module 5058

Quartz module. 5058 is the number engraved on the caseback of these watches, and Casio files its operation manual under it. 1 watch in the catalog runs on it.

How to operate module 5058

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and date

  1. Wait until the second hand reaches 12 o'clock, then pull the crown out to the second click to stop it.
  2. Turn the crown to move the hands. Take the minute hand four or five minutes past the time you want, then turn it back to the right minute.
  3. Push the crown back in on a time signal to start the watch again.
  4. To set the date, pull the crown out to the first click.
  5. Turn the crown to set the date.
  6. Push the crown back in to its normal position.

Good to know

Avoid setting the date between 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.: the date may not change on the following day if you do.

On a model with a screw lock crown, unscrew the crown before pulling it, and screw it fully back in afterwards: the watch is not water resistant while it is loose.
