How to operate module 5508

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and date

  1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold A until ADJ shows and the city code flashes.
  2. Press C until the setting you want flashes. The order is: city code, DST, 12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minutes, year, month, day, button tone, light duration, then back to the city code.
  3. On the 12/24-hour format, press D to switch between 12H and 24H.
  4. On the seconds, press D to reset them to 00.
  5. On the hour, minutes, year, month or day, press D to go up and B to go down; holding either usually scrolls fast.
  6. Press A to leave the setting screen.

Good to know

The hour and minute hands move out of the way while the setting screen shows; they follow the digital time.

Resetting the seconds between 30 and 59 adds one minute.

The day of the week follows the date by itself.

Left for two or three minutes without a button press, the watch leaves the setting screen by itself.

In any mode, hold C for about two seconds to go back to the Timekeeping Mode.
