Casio module 5548

Solar powered module. 5548 is the number engraved on the caseback of these watches, and Casio files its operation manual under it. 4 watches in the catalog run on it.

How to operate module 5548

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and day

  1. Wait until the second hand reaches 12 o'clock, then pull the crown out to the second click.
  2. Turn the crown to set the time. Go four or five minutes past the time you want, then turn back to it.
  3. Push the crown back in on a time signal to restart the watch.
  4. To set the day, pull the crown out to the first click, turn it away from you to change the day, then push it back in.

Good to know

Before first use, remove the spacer at the crown if your watch has one, then set the time and day.

Mind a.m. or p.m. when you set the time.

The day setting counts 31 days a month; correct it after shorter months.

Do not change the day between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., or it may not change correctly at midnight.

On a screw-in crown, unscrew it towards you before pulling it out and screw it fully back in afterwards; the watch is not water resistant while it is loose.

The watch runs on solar power: if the second hand jumps in two-second steps, the charge is low; put the watch in light.

On a model with a rotating bezel, turn the bezel to put its mark on the minute hand; later the minute hand points to the elapsed time on the bezel.
