Watch Catalog

Casio module 5560

Solar powered module. 5560 is the number engraved on the caseback of these watches, and Casio files its operation manual under it. 1 watch in the catalog runs on it.

How to operate module 5560

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and date

  1. In the Calendar Mode (hold A for about two seconds to get there), pull the crown out to the second click: the second hand moves to A for a.m. or P for p.m.
  2. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands.
  3. Press A, then press B to change the month and turn the crown to change the day.
  4. Press A and turn the crown to set the tens digit of the year.
  5. Press A and turn the crown to set the ones digit of the year.
  6. Push the crown back in at the top of a minute, on a time signal.
  7. To take the time from a paired phone now, press C: the second hand moves to R, then to the Bluetooth mark when it connects, and the time is synchronized.

Good to know

Paired with a phone running CASIO WATCHES, the watch connects and corrects its time at around 12:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. if left in the Calendar Mode; setting it by hand is for when it is not connected.

Auto time correction does not run while a stopwatch or timer is running, when battery power is low, or in Level 2 power saving.

Setting the time by hand on the watch cancels automatic summer time switching.

The day of the week follows the date by itself.

The Dual Time hands move along when you set the time; the crown does nothing while they are moving.

The crown screws down: unscrew it (towards you) before pulling it out, and screw it back in as you push it in, or the watch may lose water resistance.

From Casio's guide, page 11

Summer time

  1. On the phone, open CASIO WATCHES from the Home Screen.
  2. On the watch, hold C for about two seconds and keep holding it while the second hand makes a full turn and stops at R; it points to the Bluetooth mark once connected.
  3. Change the summer time setting as the app shows: AUTO, ON or OFF.

Good to know

With AUTO, the watch switches between standard and summer time by itself, even when not connected, once it has been connected and corrected from the phone.

ON always shows summer time and OFF always shows standard time.

The summer time setting is made only with the CASIO WATCHES app.

Dual Time and swapping it with your home time

  1. In the Calendar Mode, pull the crown out to the first click: the second hand moves to 12 o'clock.
  2. Turn the crown to set the Dual Time on the small dial, in 15-minute steps.
  3. Push the crown back in.
  4. To swap your home time with the Dual Time, for example after a flight, hold B for about three seconds.

Good to know

Pressing B also turns on the light; keep holding it for the swap.

Only the times are swapped, not the dates.

A World Time City chosen in CASIO WATCHES is also shown on the small hands.

Auto time adjustment is not performed for 24 hours after a swap.

Good to know
