Casio module 5577

Quartz module. 5577 is the number engraved on the caseback of these watches, and Casio files its operation manual under it. 2 watches in the catalog run on it.

How to operate module 5577

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time

  1. Wait until the second hand reaches 12 o'clock, then pull the crown out to stop it.
  2. Turn the crown to set the hands, going four or five minutes past the time you want and then turning back to it.
  3. Push the crown back in on a time signal to restart the watch.

Good to know

If the crown screws down, turn it counterclockwise to unscrew it before pulling it out, and screw it back in fully afterwards; the watch is not water resistant while it is loose.

Light

  1. Hold L to light the display; it stays on while you hold it and goes off about four seconds after you let go.

Good to know

Frequent use of the light runs down the battery.
