Casio module 5633

Solar powered module. 5633 is the number engraved on the caseback of these watches, and Casio files its operation manual under it. 1 watch in the catalog runs on it.

How to operate module 5633

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and day

  1. Wait until the second hand reaches 12 o'clock, then pull the crown out to Click 2.
  2. Turn the crown to set the hands, going four or five minutes past the time you want and then turning back to it; make sure a.m. or p.m. is right.
  3. Push the crown back in on a time signal to restart the watch.
  4. To set the day, pull the crown out to Click 1, turn it away from you until the right day shows, then push it back in.

Good to know

The day indicator counts 31 days in every month, so correct it after shorter months.

Do not change the day between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., or it may not change correctly at midnight.

If the crown screws down, unscrew it before pulling it out and screw it back in fully afterwards; the watch is not water resistant while it is unscrewed.

Realign the stopwatch hands

  1. Use this if the stopwatch hands do not go back to 12 o'clock and L when you reset the stopwatch.
  2. Wait until the second hand reaches 12 o'clock, then pull the crown out to Click 2.
  3. Hold A for at least two seconds: the stopwatch minute hand turns to show it can be set. If it is not on L, press B to move it (hold for fast).
  4. Press A: the stopwatch second hand makes one full turn. If it is not on 12 o'clock, press B to move it (hold for fast).
  5. Push the crown back in.

Good to know

The watch stops while the crown is out, so set the time again afterwards.

From Casio's guide, page E-16

Stopwatch

  1. With the crown pushed in, press A to start, A to stop, and A again to resume.
  2. For a split time, press B while it runs; press B again to release it.
  3. For two finishes, press B when the first finishes, A when the second finishes, then B to show the second time.
  4. When it is stopped, press B to reset it to zero.

Good to know

It counts in one-second steps up to 29 minutes 59 seconds and stops by itself at 30 minutes.

While the stopwatch is in use, its minute hand does not show the battery level; after a reset it goes back to the battery level when you press B or after 60 seconds without a button press.

From Casio's guide, page E-14

System reset

  1. Use this if the hands move abnormally, or the second hand does not move in one-second steps even after a full charge.
  2. Pull the crown out to Click 2.
  3. Hold A and B together for at least two seconds.
  4. Push the crown back in: the second hand starts to move.
  5. Set the time and day again, and realign the stopwatch hands if needed.
