Set the time and day
- Wait until the second hand reaches 12 o'clock (on a screw-in crown, unscrew it first), then pull the crown out to the second click.
- Turn the crown to set the time, minding a.m. and p.m. Go four or five minutes past the time you want, then turn back to it.
- Push the crown back in on a time signal to start the watch; on a screw-in crown, screw it fully back in.
- To set the day, pull the crown out to the first click (on a screw-in crown, unscrew it first), turn it away from you until the day is right, then push it back in (and screw it in).
Good to know
Some water resistant models have a screw-in crown: turn it towards you to unscrew it before pulling it out, do not pull it too hard, and screw it fully back in afterwards. The watch is not water resistant while the crown is unscrewed.
The day indicator counts 31 days in every month; move it on by hand after shorter months.
Do not change the day between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., or it may not change correctly at midnight.
If the watch had a spacer around the crown when new, remove it before setting the time.
