How to operate module 5679

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and date

  1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold A until the seconds flash.
  2. Press C to step through the settings: seconds, DST, hour, minute, year, month, then day.
  3. On the seconds, press D to reset them to 00.
  4. On the DST setting, press D to switch between ON (summer time) and OFF (standard time).
  5. On the hour, minute, year, month or day, press D to count up and B to count down (hold for fast).

  7. If you changed the hour, minute or DST, set the analog hands to match (see Set the analog hands).

Good to know

The digital and analog times are set separately. Resetting only the seconds moves the analog minute hand along by itself.

Resetting the seconds between 30 and 59 adds one minute.

In the Timekeeping Mode, press D to switch between 12-hour format (A or P shows) and 24-hour format, and A to switch between the time and the date screen.

The day of the week follows the date by itself. The year runs from 2000 to 2099.

Hold C for about one second in any mode to go to the Timekeeping Mode (not while a setting screen shows).
