Casio module 5708

Quartz module. 5708 is the number engraved on the caseback of these watches, and Casio files its operation manual under it. 1 watch in the catalog runs on it.

How to operate module 5708

Short steps in our words. The buttons are lettered as in Casio's operation guide, where each task's page is given.

Set the time and date

  1. In the Timekeeping Mode, hold B for at least two seconds and release it when the Home City name appears: the hands move out of the way.
  2. Press C until the setting you want flashes. The order is Home City, summer time, 12/24-hour format, seconds, hour, minute, date display format, year, month, day, then further watch settings.
  3. On the seconds, press D to reset them to 00.
  4. On the other settings, press A or D to change the flashing value; hold either to scroll fast.
  5. Press B to complete the setting.
  6. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour format: hold B until the Home City name appears, press C twice until 12H or 24H flashes, press D to toggle, then press B.
  7. To take the time from a paired phone now: in the Timekeeping Mode, with the phone within one meter, hold D for at least two seconds. CNCT flashes, then OK shows when the time is adjusted.

Good to know

Paired with a phone, the watch adjusts its time automatically; set it by hand only if it cannot connect.

If the seconds are between 30 and 59 when you reset them, one minute is added.

With no operation for about two or three minutes, the watch leaves the setting mode by itself.

Setting the time by hand disables the schedule timer until you connect to the phone and sync again.

Auto time adjustment does not work for 24 hours after the Home Time and World Time are swapped in the app.

Good to know

Strong magnetism or impact can make the hands differ from the digital display.

If the watch is paired with a phone, the CASIO WATCHES app can also adjust hand alignment.
